About
Selin Salci is an Istanbul-born, New York City–based painter and printmaker working with oil on canvas and monotype prints. Her work explores inner landscapes shaped by memory, emotion, and transformation.
Moving across cultures and identities, Salci draws from the experience of inhabiting an in-between space—one where belonging, perception, and selfhood remain fluid. This in-between space deeply informs her visual language, reflecting both the visible and invisible layers of selfhood.
Salci's paintings and monotypes explore quiet, introspective states within the human experience. Drawing from personal transformation and shadow work, she engages themes of growth, solitude, healing, discipline and wisdom, masculine and feminine, repetition and stillness, resilience and self. Working with layered oil painting on canvas and monotype on paper, Salci creates intimate surfaces that invite viewers to slow down and connect with what lies beneath the surface.
